Officially it's the first day of Spring in the Southern Hemisphere, however the thunderstorm scheduled for the last day of winter was a bit late and - in what we hope was a grand finale - a lightning strike took out our local telecommunications tower. Our phones are working but not our internet connection. Normal service will resume as soon as we get through the recorded messages, talk to a real person and the linesmen get through their enormous backlog of lines bought down by falling trees.
Meanwhile the sheep will make unstable structures safe by trying to knock down poles, trees and fence posts of their own. Or it could just be that they're itchy.
